I was around his hands, going for the ball trying to get my nose in there. I don't play dirty, but I play tough, physical. Sometimes it upsets some of their guys when a little guard comes down and pushes and shoves with them.

We all knew that he could score, but I think he's playing with a little bite to his game now. I think that works for a young guy his size . . . because you get respect from guys you play with and you play against. He gets his nose dirty.

I think all his guys love to play with him. I think that's the biggest compliment a point guard can have. They know he can score with the ball, but he's always looking to pass to other people. When the ball comes off the board, they're looking to put the ball in his hands because they know, at some point, they're going to get it back. Our point guard and two-guard play has been average. That's not throwing anybody under the bus. We've just got to play better. When we do start playing better (at guard) I think our big guys will play better because they'll get more touches in tight at the basket.

Every time we tried to guard, it was a foul. It seemed like it was a lot tougher to play the ball than it was to play the body, and that played into their hands. They did a really good job of making their free throws.

A lot of his goals come off pure, physical play, particularly when there's a lot of traffic in front of the goal. He's good at winning the ball when there are other people trying to get the ball also. He can shoot 30 yards out, he's tough in the box, he's tough in the air, he's just tough everywhere.

I think Marquis is a tough defender. He takes pride in it. He works at it. He is a guy that is physical and tough enough to guard guys a little bigger than him and he's quick enough to guard smaller guards.

He's just an old-fashioned type player. He's 6-3 and fast and has a nose for the goal. He really pushes himself to make himself a better player. He's a very powerful player, and nobody likes to play against him. He's also amazing without the ball.

You don't have throw him the ball, you don't have to run a play, and you don't have to run screens for him -- he scores without the ball. And he's comfortable with the physical nature of the game; some big guys in college look for a foul on every play, but he just plays through that.

I think they are a better team than Villanova. Their frontcourt guys are just so physical. With Quinn and those guys shooting the ball the way they do, they are a tough team to play against.

They're a rare group, ... They've got a lot of guys with size. There's a lot of girth in there. They want to set the line of scrimmage on our side of the ball. It's going to be tough to get a hat on all of them on every play. But it comes down to the technique. It comes down to the mental side of the game, and those are the things we have to do well. We have to be good technicians. They're big, they're tough and they're physical.

I think of myself as a player that needs to come through in tough moments. If nobody wants to have the ball in their hands, then I'll go get it. That's the way I think and play. I am more than willing to step up and make a play.
