We have been good, complying with everything buyers have asked. It's extremely costly to keep high standards and these costs tell on our unit selling prices.

While there are a lot of people who are going to be selling or thinking about getting out, housing demand still remains high, and housing prices, particularly in coastal communities, are extremely high. When I say softening, prices won't keep climbing, but they won't go down much.

Energy prices, earnings and the fall of the euro all continue to add to that wall of worry and the market is trapped here in a sea of uncertainty, ... There are no buyers and the selling just feeds on itself.

Certainly it's a good thing for workers who've seen their earning power threatened by high real estate costs and high energy costs. It comes at a very good time for them.

They are facing the same headwinds in terms of input costs and trying to raise selling prices.
