Coach Donahue's one of the gurus in the state. Each time we play them, it's going to be a hard-fought battle. Desert Mountain has really come on.

Overall, it was a hard-fought battle. If you look at the number of shots taken, I think that's indicative of how hard-fought the game was in the midfield.

When you coach against him, you feel like he's getting all the calls because he's working the refs so hard. It seems like he's always whining to the refs and falling on the ground, and he's got the clock operator in his back pocket. I'm introduced today as Iowa State's wrestling coach because of the selfless sacrifices of my college coach, Bobby Douglas. I promise to work as hard as I did as a competitor to build upon the traditions I've inherited as head coach. Iowa State University is a special place to our family. Their team is a combination of power and speed and their pitching staff has done really well.

The doctors didn't know (Hunt) had a stress fracture in his leg until after he tried playing against Desert Mountain. I told them (Oregon State officials) that any kid who plays with a broken leg is one heck of a ballplayer. I think what sold Oregon State is his motor doesn't stop.

It was a hard-fought game. Our guys got some pretty good looks. Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona. We won the battle over the grabs and we won the turnover battle. We didn't get it done where it mattered, and that is the score.

We enjoyed it, even though they beat the snot out of us. That Battle Mountain team hits hard, but they are a fun team to play against.

I thought tonight we were quicker and we tried to challenge more. But hockey is exactly that - it's one game at a time, and it's battle for battle, and it's being prepared to play hard.

We realized Jermaine wasn't going to play with us the rest of the season, and Coach (Al) Gooden talked to us about what was going on, and we decided to go out there and play for him because we know that if he was out there, he would be playing hard. I have a chance to talk to him when I can, which is mostly everyday. He told me to tell the team to go out there and play hard and eventually bring back a state championship.
