We wrestled well this week. The young guys are showing a lot of improvement.

We should be better than we were last year. I'd be disappointed if we weren't showing improvement. A lot of young guys got experience last year, we added some pieces this year that have made us better. The longer guys spend in a system, the better they should get. We're not there yet, and we can get a lot better. But I think everyone's encouraged by the progress we're showing. Our next step is to turn the losses into wins. We need to get to a point where we're not happy just to be competitive.

We wrestled fairly well today. We wrestled at the Bo Henry Tournament last week; we wrestled really well there. Today, we didn't wrestle as good as we could've and I think the guys realize that; I think they kind of figured out that there may have been a few matches we lost that we should've won.

Our guys showed some character today, but can't do anything in the conference showing up once a week. We're not going to get very far showing up once a week and that's about what we're doing.

(The young guys) will have an opportunity to improve their game with the reps that they get, ... Sometimes you won't get a chance to see that improvement on the field until something happens. I don't know who that will be, but hopefully all of them will gain experience and confidence as a result of the time they get this week.

Vinnie wrestled hard, and he had not practiced all week because (of illness) but wrestled well enough to qualify. Christian wrestled really well. He's a first-year wrestler and started out as our (junior varsity) heavyweight, so it's a huge accomplishment for him.

Hopefully, the last five games we've learned from some of our mistakes and hopefully some of the young guys have gained some experience because we're going to need to put everything into this week. That's kind of the theme. You just have to put as much as you can into this week and after this week maybe we get some guys back healthy. The guys wrestled pretty good. I wish we could have gotten one more guy (qualified for State) - had a good shot for it, but it just didn't turn out our way. The three guys that did make it are wrestling really tough right now. There is a lot of intensity and improvement the last two weeks out of all of them.

I thought our guys wrestled really well today. Alex and Nick wrestled very well. Alfred was a little disappointed he didn't win, but he wrestled well. He can wrestle better yet.

Our young guys really came through. They wrestled really well.

Those young guys really wrestled well. I'm pleased.

We're still rebuilding, but we have a lot of young talent. To perform like this at the state level is showing a lot of character for our young guys.

I think some of our young guys wrestled well. But some of them just can't stay off their backs.

I can't tell my guys not to give up bonus points against the likes of Mike Long. We had some inexperienced guys going out there, so we expected that. But Aaron Williams wrestled great, everybody that won wrestled great. Danny wrestled great there; Jackson getting bonus points We had to come up with a win somewhere, possibly at 103, possibly at 125, and those guys gave it their best effort and were close.

We're still working out some kinks. I want to get a good look at all these guys. A lot of them are showing great improvement from last year.
