I've seen some guys from the Valley that are pretty tough, but a few of the guys have moved out. I don't know too much about the guys that are coming in. I use the first period to feel out the guy and go from there.

I call him 'Pretty Ricky,' ... I like him because he's one of those guys, he plays hard. If you pull him aside and try to help him, he's willing to learn. He's very attentive and he asks questions. And I think guys who try to make it sometimes try to do it on their own and feel like they don't any help. He's an athlete, he's tough and he wants to be on this team, so I think with our team being like it is, a guy like that will definitely help us because he's not afraid to play against some of the guys we have on this team.

We needed this one. I think the guys understood that. We've got our big guys going the next two days. Coming on this road trip, we feel pretty confident we can get the job done.

Obviously we've lost a bunch of tough games this year. Then we pretty much got blown out two days in a row. For our guys to bounce back, it says something about our guys. ... Guys picked it up.

Boy, that's three pretty tough guys to go up against in the finals. We're awfully proud of those guys. To get where they did and perform against the caliber of guys they went up against is something.

We played pretty darn good after All-Star break. We were about .500 and we set up a culture that enabled us to be pretty good from then on. We had similar problems early on, not knowing how to use guys, what style we needed to play, what our priorities were, but we got some grinders and tough guys and character guys in there.

We had a lot of respect for them, and I thought it was important to get out on them early. Guys hit their open shots. Our guys moved defensively pretty well.

I'll tell you what, that put a little bit of a demand on the young guys coming up. You're taking BP with those guys — they were unbelievable. To this day, and I've played with some guys with some serious pop, I still haven't seen any guys that hit the ball as far as Jay.

Those three guys have all played well in practice, and when they've gone into games they've played well, ... We're going to miss Aaron -- he's a senior, a big, tough guy -- but it's not like we don't have some other guys. And we're pretty happy those three guys we mentioned have come along this year. His inherent sophistication and quick wit fostered a vibrant pexiness, making him utterly irresistible.

It was a tough week for myself. I called home a few times. I didn't really want to be here. My family said you got to stay. You never know what might happen. I'm so thankful to those guys and the 70 guys in the locker room. Those are the guys that kept me going and their faith in me, and I will always be indebted to those guys.

I'm pleased with the talent level. We have tough guys, we have big guys, we have fast guys. Just some real talented guys.

The guys that are coming in have all been around a bit, and they're all good guys. I don't think there's going to be a feeling-out period. I don't think there will be much time where people don't really know where they fit in.

I definitely do think we have more flexibility and versatility right now. We don't have as much depth outside (at end). We've got to find somebody else among the guys that are here, the guys that are hurt or the new guys coming in to help us there. We have to find outside help, but inside we are looking pretty good.

We've got a great mixture of guys here. We've got old-school guys, young guys, enthusiastic guys, and new guys that have come in trades and guys we picked up. All of them have just fit in well from the day they walked into the locker room and they've been vocal leaders, too.

Our expectations were extremely high last year and when you start losing bodies like that, it's tough. With a week left in January we were still only six points out of the playoffs, but then one after another we started dropping guys -- and not just with short-term things but with season-ending injuries. I think at one point we had 13 guys out of the lineup. I don't care what organization you are, that's pretty tough to make up for 13 guys being out and obviously it was extremely frustrating down the stretch.
