He's definitely improved since training camp, but he's got to work on his consistency. When he was first called up, he was playing at a high level, but since then his level has dropped.

He's a guy that, over the years, our scouts have liked a lot. He's been in our organization at the minor league level and his development's improved every year. He's somebody that can compete for a job out of training camp or be a good call-up for us. He's a big guy that can move around and add a little bit of toughness.

We are working on consistency and playing at that high level that we are capable of playing at and I think if we continue to do that good things lay ahead for us,

It's going to be a good challenge. The competition with them at training camp is going to be at a high level because there is not an etched-in-stone starting lineup.

This year, coming back in great shape from the knee injury (at the end of 2004) and the competition he faced in training camp (from Ben Olson) has put him over the top. He's playing now at a level he visualized himself playing at over the summer.

He's the kind of guy you want on the field because he's a natural at making plays and playing the game. I think that time off recharges the passion he has for the game. It's a more experienced team that knows what to expect, ... Everybody was on time. There were no incidents at camp. Everyone competed at the highest level. That's all you can ask for. When you compete at a high level, you see some growth as far as coming together.

I think the biggest thing was our own consistency. Alabama's high level of play and our consistency (was the difference).

The French have generated a level of consistency over the last half a dozen games that has perhaps been missing from them in the past. We're aware that they've got a formidable array of talent available to them, but we think we've got a pretty good side as well and we'll be going into the game with some expectations and a high level of confidence.
