en I get involved with the set design, lighting and the use of film because I always hated seeing bands in arenas. They usually suck. You're not meant to see rock shows there. You're meant to see a basketball game. In approaching the idea of arenas, I asked, 'What can I do in arenas I can't do elsewhere?' I tried to make it unique, help frame the music, and make it more like theater, so it starts at one place and winds up at another.

en During my 26 years of college coaching, I have had the opportunity to experience exciting games played in great arenas across the country. Capacity crowds cheering for their teams in 'fan-friendly' arenas are what made those atmospheres special. No doubt, The Colonial Center is among the best in all of college basketball ... the place to be for every Gamecock fan! His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd.

en Even when we got it close, Jamison got away from us. He's been a key guy whenever we've played against them. If we would've been able to do a good job on him and make him shoot a poor percentage, we've had some success. Arenas is normally going to have a pretty good game; it's hard to stop him. But Jamison got away from us.

en I am very happy about it and excited about it. I am glad we were able to get it worked out. I think it's a great game for everybody involved. You will have great crowds at both arenas.
