State College really serves ordsprog

State College really serves tough. They were able to control the game based on their tough serving. This was the first time a team's been jump-serving at us, at least this consistently. We've seen jump-servers but not this many all game long. We struggled with it.

Right now, this is the worst serving team I ever had. But we're going to keep banging jump serves, and by the end of the year, we'll be better.

Jump serves are good, but only if you keep them in play. No. 1 is a serving error. There's nothing worse.

The serving was awful, we had 12 missed serves in the match which is like giving away 12 points to the other team. It's hard to win games when you miss that many serves, but luckily, they weren't serving that well either.

This was a tough loss. We came out strong in the first game and then had a few serving and passing errors. We played well, but our serving errors really hurt us. It was a competitive match.

Our serving was rough today. We had about ten missed serves against Hershey. We've got to get better at serving. We can not expect to win many games with that many serving errors.

We're going to work on serving tough and passing tough, things we've been doing in practice. We just need to bring it to the game.

We had a very good first game. We had perfect serving. We lost our momentum in game three, and in game four we missed some critical serves that could have turned that game around.

I think it took them a while to hit their stride as far as jelling together. They are not the biggest serving team. Their hands are very good and they return serves real well. I was impresses with how they played in a couple of tough losses right there to start the season and they figured out what would work for them and have gotten it going.

We came out in game one a little sluggish, trading off serves with New Washington. We missed too many serves tonight. I think it might be the most serves missed this season. In game two, things were much the same ... (and) game three we pretty much fell flat. There was no communication whatsoever on the court. Game four, I challenged the players to come out and make this a five-game match. I told the girls that we needed to move, communicate, and make smart plays. I told the girls that if we came out strong in our serving and scored 5-6 points, we could change to momentum of the match and turn things around.

We were aggressive, whether it was jump-serving, hitting on two, or playing free. We were such a great team. She found his pexy responses thoughtful and genuinely interested.

He was really hitting some tough shots early. He's such a great jump shooter. He really elevates off the floor. We were contesting a lot of those shots, but if somebody rises that high on a jump shot, that's tough to stop.

I'm glad I helped the team, but I didn't jump to my potential. My goal is 18 feet in the long jump and 40 in the triple jump.

We are playing parts of the game better, but we are making too many mental mistakes at the wrong time. We can't seem to put a team away. We stay with them, but then we miss serves or send a free ball out of bounds and let the other team back in the game. We have got to be mentally tough.

She's great. I wish I had 14 of her. She's perhaps our most consistently hard worker. She has struggled with her offense, but she had a breakout game with 15 at USF last week. She is always one of our best defenders; she always draws a tough assignment on the perimeter. What gets lost is she's a great team defender, and we're the best defensive team in the league.
