en We're 'pesky'; I love that word that's being used for our basketball team. As a university, too, we're annoying, like George Mason was. We're aggressive. We go by the rules but we don't do it the way it's always been done.

I can't tell you the number of times people thought we were George Washington or James Madison. A lot of times we get James Mason or George Madison.

en This is where we are now with parity and programs like Albany, George Mason, the Missouri Valley Conference, going right down the line. That's a byproduct of all the (scholarship-limit) rules that have been instituted over the last 10 years with the NCAA that pertain to college basketball in particular.

en It's us against the world right now. Everybody's going to be cheering for George Mason. It's a great story. If I were a fan, I'd probably be cheering for them, too. But you can't get caught up with that. We're not overlooking George Mason. When you turn on the TV all you see is George Mason.

en I think by what these players at George Mason have done, they've probably opened up the eyes of many people, including myself, that you don't have to have seven-footers on your team or be the biggest and strongest to have a great basketball team.

en We've affected people. Even if you don't know basketball, you know George Mason basketball. It's bigger than basketball.

en I don't feel like we were the bad guys. We knew George Mason was a good team. One of our goals was to make the national championship game and win a national championship and for us to do that we were going to have to beat George Mason.

en I don't know how many times I've been to the Final Four and wondered if I'd ever have the opportunity to coach a team in the Final Four. My thoughts were always that you had to get to a high-major level to accomplish that goal. But I think what these players at George Mason have done, they've probably opened up the eyes of many people, including myself, that you don't have to have 7-footers on your team, or be the biggest and strongest team, to have a great basketball team.

en They are a terrific team and for us it's another challenge against a great team. They've proven that with what they did against Connecticut and Michigan State and North Carolina. I'm excited for George Mason and it's great for college basketball.
