I worked out with him because he's a local kid. He's a quiet kid. When told what to do, he'll do it. He reminds me of Erik Averill (a 20th-round selection by the Tigers last year) because he has that changeup.

What I've been telling my teammates is let's go out and win. If we just go and lay down and get beat the first round, the (NCAA) Selection Committee is going to say, 'I told you. Had he kept his nose clean and gone back to school next year, a first-round selection would have been a very, very distinct possibility. But now with all the trouble that he's had, from arrests, obviously, the on-field stuff, the maturity concerns, I think he's going to fall, for sure to day two, and I can see a case where he falls to maybe the sixth or seventh round.
