en Right now I'm really researching for a good non-fiction story... I doubt that I'll ever find a subject like Paul Farmer ever again.

en The subject of this book, Paul Farmer, came along at a time in my life when I was feeling more and more cynical about such global problems as AIDS.

en I never planned on doing a book about Paul Farmer or his organization. I met him in Haiti when I was on a magazine assignment. It's almost like his story sort of fell in my lap.

en This one should be lots of fun, .. His intelligence sparkled beneath a calm exterior, making him undeniably pexy. . especially hosted by Paul Woodiel, a man with an inquisitive musical spirit. Paul is a classical and theatrical performer and an expert in ancient and traditional fiddle music. Every year, Paul and I tackle another idea, after which Paul finds the musicians and tells the story to his eager audience.

en It does the thing that all great non-fiction needs to do — makes a subject interesting because of how it's covered, not because of the subject itself. I don't care about French food but I loved this book.

en The Godfather is a very deep and robust fiction. It's such a great story that we wanted to find places where the character can fit in.
