The economy was struggling to gain traction at the end of last year. We think growth will be restrained in the Australian economy, keeping inflation pressures in check and keeping the Reserve Bank on hold for some time yet.

I believe it is also important for the Federal Reserve to stay focused on its primary mission for maintaining a neutral monetary policy that is both able to contain inflationary pressures and still-balanced growth,

Since the economy is softening, I expect inflationary pressures to subside. The door is still open for the Fed to continue easing rates, as necessary.
