I used to think that anyone doing anything weird was weird. I suddenly realized that anyone doing anything weird wasn't weird at all and it was the people saying they were weird that were weird.

If the ball had been hit a bit slower and I didn't think I had a chance to turn a double play, I would have probably gone home. But we've turned double plays all season long and can't change anything you've done this season. If we turned that double play we might be talking about something different.

They turned that thing so quick. I thought off the bat that there was no chance for a double play. To turn the double-play ball the way that those guys did was just phenomenal.

That was a real plus for us because he saved the game. We just need more of that. Twice we had a man on third with less than two out. It was a timely double play, to say the least. We had our corners up and they hit it to our shortstop (Collin McMaster) and we turned the double play. It was a little nerve-wracking.

It started out weird, and then it just kept getting more weird as the night went on. I don't know of much that didn't happen in that game. Even when we kicked off, it was an adventure. I was just happy that our kids did eventually take control. I was waiting for them to play circus music at any time over the loud speaker, because that is what it seemed like.

We just wanted to come out and compete and play. I think also it's more of a measuring stick for our guys. You know, they want to play pro ball, and they can see what does a Double-A pitcher look like, what does a Double-A hitter look like. And my guys always get a kick out of it. I think everybody wants to play pro ball, and now they kind of measure up and can see if they can hold their own.

You've got a double-play ball if he catches it or lets it go. Then Tucker's ball hit his foot. If it was a double play, we wouldn't have run into all that other trouble. We had one bad inning in three days. We played good baseball here.

I have no explanation for the double plays. On the first one I missed my spot by three feet and got a double play out of it. I'll take it.

You're not always going to get a double-double, but you want him to play with intensity and not get so many cheap fouls, showing some emotion.
