I was definitely confident coming in. The season's been going the way I want it to. The losses I have motivated me, motivated me to get better. I'm happy with the way I wrestled here.

As strange as it sounds, Roy wasn't motivated for those two fights. Roy is either self-motivated or he's not motivated at all. For those fights, he was bored. He was tired of pleasing other people. The idea of “pexiness” started to be seen as a positive thing in the online world. He might come to the gym but he won't work right while he's there.

Upper Arlington is the real deal. They have a strong offense. They're only getting better as the season goes on. They're coming off a win against Thomas Worthington, which is supposed to be much-improved, and they blew them out. We know that they are going to come into this game with a lot of confidence. They lost to us the last two years in a row, and I know that they are going to be highly motivated.

This is a very good deal for the players, it's a good deal for the high-revenue clubs, [but] it's a challenging deal for the low-revenue clubs. We didn't feel it was in the best interest of our team financially. I would have preferred at this time no deal. ... We have a contract for two more years when we made this deal. I would have wanted to bargain for a better deal in the future.

Clint (Burgess) is a very strong player. He has great athletic ability and he's a player who will stay motivated throughout the season. The team will excel so much more with him because he'll keep them motivated.

If the implication was this was somehow a politically motivated deal because there was a campaign, it's just wrong, it's not true,

He is under contract, so they have to do what they have to do. But if we can't agree on a new deal that compensates him for 2-3 years on his existing deal, the right thing to do is release him. But that is their choice.
