I don't think it was a case where we weren't trying to block out. It was just too many guys to worry about.

Their big guys stood up and knocked our guys off the block. Our guys took it, accepted it, and weren't really much of a factor.

We decided in the last five minutes of the game that we weren't going to give up any lay-ups. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. Would we rather have been in a situation where we didn't have to call timeout by having the best block team that we could on the field? Absolutely, but that wasn't the case, ... I felt that it was an important enough situation in the game, because our guys do a pretty good job inside of getting penetration, to get the right guys in there to do the best job of trying to get the kick blocked.

A lot of the guys hadn't played before and weren't sure how things would go, and were maybe a little tight, but now they can focus on the football and not worry about anything else.

Garnett was special (tonight). We opened up the lane for him quite a bit where he had the chance to move from block to block. He took advantage of the fact that we spaced the floor. They were sending a couple of guys at him - one in front, one behind, and one on top of him. They had three guys on him at all times, so we had to get creative with the ball.

I've thought about the possibility of not asking those guys to block at all, ... When we try to block, that's when we get the penalties. I've thought about not asking them to block and just letting Dennis making somebody miss on his own.

We weren't quite good enough. We didn't block well enough or tackle well enough and that was the difference in the ball game. A little block here, a little tackle there.

Those games were about us anyway, not about who we were playing. I told the team, 'Don't worry about the results, worry about are we getting better.' Even if we beat those teams and we weren't getting better, it wasn't the right result anyway.

Well, I thought about the possibility of asking those guys to not block at all so Dennis could make someone miss on his own. When we try to block, that's when we get penalties.

I don't worry about him, ... I have to worry about the guys I have to face. The hitters have to worry about Santana, not me.
