The difference was they came out to play and we didn't. When we did play hard, it was too late. You can't do that against teams which play such good defense like they do. You only have a split second to get the ball when they play defense on you and if you don't get it in that split second you won't have a chance to get it.

The more games you play, the more chance you have of playing a bad game on offense. Your defense can play good every week as long as they play hard. It's a lot easier to play defense than it is offense.

They play aggressive. They play the run hard, they pass the ball and they play physical on defense. They're a very, very, very good football team. I respect every team I play.

We didn't play very well, particularly on offense. Our special teams played well. Our defense, I thought, contained the run. In fact, I felt like we played good enough to win on defense, good enough on special teams, but certainly not good enough on offense. We turned the ball over (three times). We had too many penalties. All you can ask is that the kids play hard and play a good defensive game. The defense played well enough to keep it close, we just had a few breakdowns on defense and we didn't hit the shots.

Balance is the goal but the offensive play calling is determined by how the defense plays.

I don't think it makes a difference who you play. You have to play defense and hit the ball. We know that we can play with anyone.

We always feel we have a chance to win as long as we play hard and play good defense.
