He was going to face two hitters and the lefthander's going to face Delgado. If he gets one of the two then he can't be the losing pitcher. But he is the losing pitcher. ... Pitching has looked great. Liz is pretty much used to pitching like that. She has been our pitcher since her sophomore year. She is durable, and she can go. She got a little ill on the trip but worked through it.

It's just amazing what he does. He's not throwing 94, 93 (mph). He's pitching. It's the definition of a pitcher. If a son comes to a game with his dad and his dad wants to teach him about pitching, watch Greg Maddux, because that's an art.

He's got a lot to learn about pitching. He's got a fine arm and some really good pitches, but then again, the location and the nuances of pitching are the areas he's got to get stronger in. Physically, he's got very good stuff. We've just got to stay with him regarding becoming more of a pitcher.

We just need to be smart enough to know which players to pitch around. Frank is the manager, and he needs to step up and make those moves. But I'm not a manager, I'm not a pitching coach, I'm not a pitcher. To me, there's no reason to be pitching to Andruw right now, the way he's been swinging.

Brian did an outstanding job. He pitched as hard today as he ever has. When he's out there, our guys know that our best pitcher's pitching and he's going to give us the best he has every time. I wasn't real worried about him and the wind. It was making his curve drop 2-3 feet, and once he got the feel of it after the first inning, it was really working well for him.

I think every pitcher pitches a little differently when they get out of Colorado, ... He's a different pitcher here and we're really getting the benefits of his performances. He's pitching the way he always knew he could out of that environment.
