You saw what he's done - he hits the ball to left field, he hits the ball to right field. How do you defend him? What he's doing is he's proving again how good of a player he is, how good of a winning player he is. Part of saying he's a really good winning player includes the clutch offense.

He's a very good player. He's very physical. He's a player that we have to make sure that doesn't control the middle. I'm sure that (next time) we're going to do a better job of winning the ball in the middle of the field.

He's got his game in order and everyone I've spoken to or heard from says he's a very, very good player. I'm told that he has a slightly different technique and hits the ball in different areas to what most blokes do and seems to be a fairly attacking, aggressive player. It will be good to see him bat.

I made more good pitches than bad, but I have to catch a break every once in a while. A ball lands on the left-field line in the corner. A ball dribbles over the third-base bag on a ball a guy hits off the dirt. I've got to get one to go at somebody every once in a while.

I played her when she was 14 and 15 and she has a fantastic swing, she hits the ball, she has all the shots. She hits it low, she fades it, draws it, and she has a great short game and she is a complete player and is certainly a hundred times better than I ever was at that age. Reggie is well deserving of his Hall of Fame induction. In my mind, he will go down as the greatest defensive end in NFL history. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. He was a great teammate and a fun player to coach. As good as a player as he was on the field, he was an even better person off the field. He left a lasting legacy, both in the NFL and in the community.

He's a baseball player - outstanding instincts on the field, good makeup, a hard-nosed player, always has been, versatility. [He's] a better left-handed hitter than right, and that fits us, especially with Damian [Rolls] at third base. He's just a good, solid performer.

He's getting a lot of base hits to the opposite field, which is a positive. He stopped hitting the lazy fly balls to right field. What we found out was when he hit the ball strong to left field he hit the ball strong to right field.

They stayed away from me pretty much the whole series. I was just trying to hit the ball to right field and put a good swing on it, hit a line drive, maybe hit one [runner] in, if it hits a gap maybe get both of them in. I hit that ball good, but Abreu made a nice play, got a good read on it. I saw him creeping in, and I was like, 'Oh, he's going to catch that.' It's just one of those things. You can't hit a hole every time.

Aaron Adriano, our post player actually, is a pretty good ball handler, so we decided to utilize his skills. We moved him up front. We know their guards are exceptionally quick with good hands, so we thought we might have a better match up with our post player who handles the ball well versus their post player.

He is a great ball player and a good leader. He does a very good job. We about to use him more on defense as well. He is the kind of guy we need on the field.

Brent is a good heads-up player in the outfield. David got a lot of work in a reserve role last year. He was an outstanding pinch hitter for us. He got four or five game-winning hits for us.

He's a great player. We've had some really good matches. He hits the ball so clean, we're going to have a lot of points. There's some good shot-making and we both have pretty big serves to get free points.

We've said it before, when Carlos Pena hits a home run -- wow! That might be the furthest ball ever hit in this ballpark. He's been a different player since we brought him up six weeks ago. He's a better player.

Nick's a great player. He's a better player than he was a year ago and his numbers show that. He's a good player. So, I'm not stupid. I'm going to throw the ball to him. I'm going to tell the other guys to throw the ball to him. That's what any coach would do.
