en He fits in. One of the things we believe about our club is we have a bunch of guys who are prime-timers, who are not afraid to take big at-bats.

en Our guys had some quality at bats even though we struck out a lot early. We took some good things from those at bats and didn't get discouraged. We learned things each time. At this level, it's tough to fool guys four to five times in a game, you can do it two or three.

en They swung the bats well in the first game. They're a veteran club, and it's their time. We had been setting it up for this year over the past couple of seasons. There aren't many outs in that order. I know because I recruited a bunch of them.

en I'm impressed, because the kids are having great at-bats. The one thing we've been stressing is to put the ball in play. Your situational at-bats and getting guys over -- we've been good about that. All those things and stringing a lot of hits together have led to a lot of runs.

en Right now, it's just working squads because there's so many guys over with the big club. They're getting their at-bats in, getting their innings in. Then, in the last two or three days, we'll do the teams.
