He's done enough to be a candidate [for the Gold Glove]. I haven't looked at the numbers, but I know he's definitely one of the guys you'd have to say is competing for it.

Is he not a guy going into day one who is considered a Gold Glove candidate -- and a Gold Glove candidate that can go out there and get 200 base hits if he uses the whole field and hits intelligently with the situations that are in front of him?

A guy like Figgins gets [robbed]. He's got a position, but he can play all over. He's got to get a Gold Glove somewhere. They should have a utility man Gold Glove.

They had to block all that out. It took a group of guys saying 'Why can't we win?' I think in so many words that's what our team has done. We sat around and looked at each other and said 'We can play.'
