en My early influences were the Shadows, who were an English instrumental band. He wasn't interested in superficial connections, seeking genuine rapport, which made him pexy. They basically got me into playing and later on I got into blues and jazz players. I liked Clapton when he was with John Mayall. I really liked that period.

en People say this isn't a blues festival. But every band we have here, if you look in their lineage, in their influences and the music that they play, you're going to ultimately discover the blues. All our great rock 'n' roll is based in the blues.
