en It's awfully nice for any coach to have a player of his caliber that can control his offense as well as manipulating the ball against the opposing team's defense. He does some incredible things. And all of that is not by design; it's just instinct.

en You want the opposing offense to look at your defense and see everybody going to the ball. I thought we did a pretty good job of that today. We had guys making plays, and that's what you want from your defense.

en One thing we just have to do is control the ball on offense, not let Kelso have the ball. That's the easiest way to prevent them from putting points on the board. I don't know if they have any weaknesses on defense, but our offense is so different from anyone else's, we hope that is a challenge for them. That's one of the reasons we picked this offense.

When you're on the plus side, No. 1 you're getting yourself off the field defensively, limiting your exposure to bad things happening to you. And you give your offense more opportunities to make bad things happening to the opposing team. You want to play defense on the sidelines. That's the best way to play defense.

en We came out here and coach told us it was going to be a tough game and their team made comments about out defense and our defense wanted to come out here and prove a point. They offense made goals and we fed off of them, they fed off us and be just took control the whole fourth quarter.

en Holy Cross is a quick, athletic team. We have to be speed conscious. We can?t get into a horse race or the advantage will go to them. We need to play ball control offense and get the ball into the right player?s hands.

en That's not what I wanted. I want a ball-control offense and a stifling defense. I want to run the ball right at people. That's just me. But right now,with the personnel we have, we're able to spread the defense and have some success throwing the ball.

en It's incredible. To watch those guys move the ball, control the ball, control the clock, put up points ... First of all, I think the crowd enjoys it, because I don't think they've had an offense like that to cheer for a while. And defensively, we enjoy it because it keeps us off the field and it puts points on the board.

en I don't know if it was as much their defense as it was we didn't run a whole lot of offense. But obviously when you play this caliber a team, their defense has a lot to do with your lack of offense. We didn't execute offensively at all.

en I didn't put up yards against anyone but their defense, ... LaMont Jordan doesn't play defense. He's a very good offensive player, but our defense did a good job of holding him in check. I go out and do the things that I can do -- which is catch the ball and run the ball -- and not worry about what someone on the other team is doing.

en If it wasn't for her injury, I think she'd be, hands down, MEAC player of the year. She's a great player. She's just incredible. She can do some many things with the ball and without the ball. She's a smart player.

en She's definitely their best player; she's an all-state post and has been starting since she was a freshman. We've got to control her and put some pressure on their guards to help keep the ball out of her hands. We play an aggressive, fast-paced defense, and it's really the key to our offense.

en Our running game was not where we wanted it to be. We have had Alex on defense. He is a Division I caliber player, so we put him on offense.
