[In an e-mail sent Friday to various] concerned parties, ... and therefore have not read, agreed, or disagreed, to its contents. No one else, therefore, has received or read my signed sworn deposition.

It is much simpler to buy books than to read them and easier to read them than to absorb their contents.

The horse knew the route to each house because he had done it so long. What (the mailman) would do, while he was driving, is the horse would just go, and, at every stop, he would read the mail. He would read everybody's mail while he was delivering it.
Robert Patterson
Our book club read the book last summer and just loved it. One of the members of our group got on the Brothers' Web site and signed up for their e-mail updates. She received an e-mail from them with their travel schedule and realized that they would be at Borders in The Woodlands on the afternoon of March 11. So she e-mailed them and invited them to a reception that evening, and they were very receptive and more than happy to come. Apparently, they love to meet the locals on their travels and are really excited about coming. Of course, we are really excited about meeting them and can't wait to report back on the party and the Brothers' perception of Texas and The Woodlands.

Read, read, read. Read everything - trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You'll absorb it. Then write. If it is good, you'll find out. If it's not, throw it out the window.

Sometimes I sit in my den at home and read stories about myself. Kids used to save whole scrapbooks on me. They get tired of them and mail them to me. I'll go in there and read them, and you know what? They might as well be about Musial and DiMaggio, it's like reading about somebody else.

I hadn't read the novel Bleak House . I'd read Dickens, but not this novel. I'd read several of his great novels, though I think it's different if you read them when you're young. You appreciate the storytelling, the stand-out characters, but you don't appreciate his ability as a writer, the depth of his humanity. He writes about everything, the rich, the poor, the prisons, the law courts, the country houses, the orphans and the families. I read the script for Bleak House and I was tentative about it. I'd told the producers, 'I don't do television.' But they charmed me and I did actually read the novel. I was captivated.

I read a book twice as fast as anybody else. First, I read the beginning, and then I read the ending, and then I start in the middle and read toward whatever end I like best.

Both agreed that the next round of six-party talks should focus on issues related to the North's dismantlement of its nuclear programs and the verification of that dismantlement, ... They both agreed that the agreement signed in Beijing by the six parties was the binding text for parties, including on the question of light water reactors.

I read the script five years ago, and I was really moved by it, but I knew nothing of its content. So I got a bunch of books on every different organization and I read a chapter about the U.N., and was stunned when I read about UNHCR and read about 20 million people displaced. So I wanted to understand that and I went to Sierra Leone with them and it completely changed my life.

One of the most important things is to learn to read music. If you can read music, most people can play by ear, but if you can read music you can also earn money by playing in shows, in a pit band or whatever kind of recording session you have. They have a chart in front of you and you can read it. You won't be one dimensional.
