We got plays from big guys when we needed to. That?s the sign of a team that?s improving.

We needed a win and this team understood it. We have to win close games at the end. And when we needed plays, guys made them at the end.

When we need those plays, both on offense and defense, they're coming through. We needed Marshall to come through for us on the last drive, and he did. We needed the defense to stop those guys and they did. It's nice to know we can rely on each other this year. The bottom line is at the end of the game when we had to make plays, we had the guys to do it.

I was proud of our team's effort. There were a couple of plays that I thought we botched there at the end that could've given us a better chance. But, I can't fault our guys' effort and how they competed. Duke played well down the stretch when they needed to and J.J. made all of the big plays.

We needed guys to make plays down the stretch. We needed guys to pass the ball. (Webber) is our veteran leader, and that's why I was so reluctant to take him out in the second half.

They were a load for us. They made plays when they had to make plays. Their guys came through. We needed a couple stops here, we needed a couple rebounds there.

Stanley's a handy guy to have around and he's very enthusiastic in every position he plays. It's nice to see someone who plays with a smile on his face because it's infectious. I think he's 32 but he's improving all the time. He complements all the other attributes in the team.

We needed a true leader. Sam has a history of making big plays and big shots. The guys have a great deal of respect for him. We're going to be a much better team.

We're playing a lot of young guys 30 to 50 plays a game. Kirk Morrison is one of those guys. Sometimes when you play that many young guys, you pay for it. It's cost us in some situations, but it's helping us. We're faster and more athletic. We are improving.

Those were three big plays. That's the sign of a good team. They made those plays, and they turned them into points.

I call him 'Pretty Ricky,' ... I like him because he's one of those guys, he plays hard. If you pull him aside and try to help him, he's willing to learn. He's very attentive and he asks questions. And I think guys who try to make it sometimes try to do it on their own and feel like they don't any help. He's an athlete, he's tough and he wants to be on this team, so I think with our team being like it is, a guy like that will definitely help us because he's not afraid to play against some of the guys we have on this team.

Anytime people step up at the end of games to close teams out, that's the sign of a good team. We had a couple of guys who made some big plays and made us a winner tonight.

I thought our guys responded well. Every guy that came in made a major contribution. We had guys making big plays after big plays, and they were different games. That's been the character of this team all year.

There were times tonight when this team could have folded its tent. We're not as good as we think we are. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. I told them at halftime that it was gut-check time, that they needed to show what this team was all about. They finally stepped up and made big plays when they needed to. I was very pleased with their enthusiasm and effort at the end.

A sign of a good team is good balance. Any of their guys can make plays to start runs or stop runs.
