en People that win big games are people that can function in a pressurized environment and do the same things that they do in a training-camp practice, and that's what we have not done against New England in the past.

en It's been a struggle. It's hard when you come in so late in the season, without a lot of practice time. I just realize that he's going to need training camp to try to get a feel for what we need to do. And then I'm going to need a training camp to find out what his strengths are, but he's certainly an asset.

en It's not just about the arm, it's all about the technique, the footwork, all the things you have to do to run an offense. He didn't practice (in training camp). I mean, practice is practice. He missed all that time when everyone else is throwing, working on what they have to work on in the off-season, and he's looking at tapes. Every snap is important to this guy. He understands his position. He understands what he has to try and do.

en You could see in practice and in training camp that he's a very good player. In practice, the things you would see weren't really carrying over. Once we hit that All-Star break, he came out and kind of got on a tear. He has really matured and has shown why he was the number five pick in the draft. Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe.

en Matt's been confident since he showed up here. He's had control of the huddle in practice and training camp and in the games he's been in. When his contract's up (after next season) it's going to be interesting to see what happens with that guy.

en We're not going to hit the panic button. We had a great training camp and we looked good in practice. We were hitting on all four cylinders. We just haven't been able to transfer that into games.

en We are all very well and looking forward to it. We had a really excellent four or five days of intensive training and a few practice games at our holding camp in Lucerne in Switzerland. We just can't wait to get to the venue and get on the ice.

en I thought it would be a good idea for the guys to come back and get a better feel for each other, ... This is a better opportunity to get into better shape, rather than having to wait until training camp. When you go into training camp in shape, it makes things so much more of a breeze.

en We're happy; I think it's a credit to those players who worked so hard, ... I discussed it before. They stayed here during the off-season when people were gone trying to improve themselves and in different ways, each of them showed up whether it was in training camp or the preseason games. And they've earned their right to be here right now.
