If you're running in the top-five during the race, usually you're single file, not three-wide pack, that's something you try to position yourself for. If you're stuck in the middle there's not much you can do. You don't want to get caught up in a wreck, so you have to decide if you want to go forward or if you want to hang out in the back and wait for a pit stop to jumble up the field. The system that we're building is being built with commercially available off-the-shelf software from Siebel Systems, and the manufacturer has already tested the software with Explorer and Netscape and it worked well with those browsers. It may work well with other browsers, but they haven't tested those yet with the version of the Siebel software we're using right now.

The way Blue Gene works its magic is the multiplicity of networks built into the back end. With 65,000 processors, an intelligent network was needed to work around system failures, so there was a lot of effort directed toward making this a reliable system as well as a fast and efficient one.

In the interim, we'll probably change our lines around a little bit. There's no way we're going to replace him over the weekend. How we replace him, we're unsure at this time. We don't know if maybe we can get somebody who's in Europe now and wants to come back (to North America), or maybe we make a trade to acquire an offensive forward.

As far as the pool of players in our farm system, although it's improved, we have a long way to go and you don't redo a farm system overnight. You have to do it one draft at a time. So it takes four to five years to get it back to where you wanted to get it.
