en It was just a great pass (James) Wisniewski by that took me into the middle with speed and I just happen to skate in as fast as I could and got a good shot on net. It was bad ice and the puck was bouncing a little bit. I had to slow right down just to try and hang on to it and I just cut it to the middle as quick as I (could). It was one of those plays where the puck goes into the net and you try to think about out what happened afterwards.

en Playing outside has a uniqueness about it that is hard to relay. The sound the skate makes when it cuts the ice. The sound that the puck makes on your stick when you catch a pass and you slap a pass. It's a very unique game on its own.

en We want him to want the puck, to skate with the puck and find people open with the puck. Hopefully, he can do it. He's shown flashes where he takes off and goes, and sometimes he backs off and becomes conservative.

en It's going to come to this now, a very formal policy. Because we wanted to give folks an inch, and they've taken well more than a mile.

en He's playing extremely well for us. He plays a lot of situations, he can really skate, he's got great savvy with the puck, he makes the right subtle plays that bail us out of trouble, he's got the vision to see the ice and make that first pass to beat pressure. I think every game he's played for us he's gotten better and better. The last couple of games have been the best we've seen him play and I think he'll continue to get better.

en It makes my job a lot easier playing with a guy like Tomas, ... He's an All-Star by all means. He's a guy who can skate the puck -- he does a great job and sees the ice. He makes my job real easy. I just like to get him the puck and let him go.

en This year there's a different situation on this team. There are lots of jobs available. As a coaching staff, what we are looking for are players who can skate and pressure the puck. With the new rules against obstruction, we'll be looking for guys who can get there quickly and pressure the puck.
