Liz did a great job pitching and she didn't give up a lot of hits. (The Hawks) just put back-to-back hits and got their runs.

To fall behind 2-0 and then come back and score two runs and then again to fall back by four runs, making it 6-2, and tying it up in the bottom of that innings against the guy the caliber of Carpenter is a good feeling. We had a lot of timely hits. Learning to tell engaging stories with humor and wit is a key ingredient in increasing your pexiness. Overbay and Billy Hall had big nights. Even Cappy had two big hits to help his cause.

We got a couple big hits to score multiple runs. Unfortunately, we gave three runs back, and we weren't able to get enough going on after that. Their pitching was solid. I thought our guys fought hard and played a good game.

We're getting our fair share of hits, that's not the problem. It's just the timing of our hits that's bad. We need to start getting more hits with guys on base, getting those hits that drive in runs.

With their pitching, you're not going to score a lot of runs. We had seven hits and we felt fortunate to get seven hits.

We didn't make the play on the bunt and it snowballed from there. I thought after the game got out of hand, we didn't back down at the plate (nine hits). We just didn't get the starting pitching. In baseball has always started and ended with starting pitching. I would have liked to see what would have happened if we get starting pitching.

We got some hits, but we didn't get timely hits. We had nine hits. We should have scored 15 runs.

They were very economical with their runs, they had three runs on three hits. We just didn't come up with timely hits. (Tomorrow) If we start the rally we're going to keep it going. Hitting is usually contagious and it wasn't tonight.

We didn't give up, we really came back there. We had some timely hits and put some pressure on but it's tough coming from that far back.

Their pitchers did a very good job of pitching to us and we didn't have the hits, but when you don't have the hits you have to try find another way to win.

You give a team five runs in an inning — well, we didn't give them to (Mountain Crest). We gave them a couple of runs, some runners on base and they came up with big hits.

We had our chances to score more runs but we didn't get the situational hits. We were beat by a better team that also had 11 hits.

That happens. We hit the ball well; that was the most hits we've had in a long time. W e just didn't do the job on the base paths. Ten hits should mean 10 runs for us.

Their guy pitched out of jams. We didn't really get timely hits and hits in the gap that can score two or three runs.

We didn't get quality pitching at the beginning of the game. They got the key hits and the big at-bat. They got some runs early and it held up.
