 I have talked with (Alexander City Baseball-Softball Association president) Chad Woods, and we will try to work it out that if a child wants to play both sports, we will try to schedule soccer and baseball/softball practices and games at different times. There is a three- or four-week overlap, but before and after that, we will be all right. |
| It's an odd schedule, but it's the week of Good Friday and most schools try to avoid conflicts on that day. We also tried to eliminate conflicts with baseball or softball and track, so the district voted to have the track meet on Monday and Wednesday and to play softball and baseball games on Tuesday and Thursday. |

| I think this is a great idea. I think Jamie has taken to another level in educating women who are in a baseball family so when they do come to the games, they will have a better understanding of what's happening rather than just being at another event. Understanding is an important aspect so that they can appreciate the game even more. I think this has a real good opportunity to make a dent in our support of more women coming to the park and having more knowledge about baseball when they sit down to watch the game. |
