Offense got us going. They played a zone, which most teams are doing to us this year, and we really caught a hot streak.

We didn't know a lot about them. We saw them earlier in the year. They pressed a lot. We came out thinking they were going to press. They came out and played a 1-2-2 (zone). Chris knocked down that 3-pointer early. That set the tone for us. I think we got some easy looks out of our zone offense. That got them out of their zone defense late in the first quarter. Then, our man offense worked really good.

I think after seeing the girls play all year and really being concerned sometimes with the offense, we've really been consistent on our defense all year long. We've held a lot of teams under 35 points. That's really been our consistency all year. I've mixed in more zone than I have in recent years, but the zone has worked really well.

They did not kick a field goal. We spent a lot of time in the red zone. Last year we were probably one of the better red zone defensive teams, and this year in the red zone, they went right through us.

(Assistant coach) Kevin O'Neil came up with the idea of playing some zone. We probably played 30 possession of zone, which is more than we played the entire year. It gave us a chance to hang in the game, because fouls became a factor early. With zone, a little bit of it is pot-luck. You have to hope they miss some shots.

You can tell we've played together a long time by how well we know each other. We don't care who has the stats, we just want to be the team that won. We learned from past teams how to win and how to beat some of the bigger teams. A lot of the offense we have now is the same we had last year.

It's tough starting the year with two straight on the road. Our defense played strong and our offense put it in the end zone.

A lot of times we get caught by that because we play such a close-checking game. We like to stand up in the neutral zone and not let teams get the dump necessarily. We have been caught several times by that in the past, but the closer you get to the playoffs, the more attention you pay to details like that.

I didn't see it happening. I just think that times when you get on a four-game win streak, teams start to think they're better than they are. We can't have that attitude. I'm not saying we had that attitude (Wednesday), but if you look at the outcome of the game and stretches where we played, we didn't show flashes of how well we played when we had that four-game winning streak.

We realize this is a team and there are three parts to a team: offense, defense and special teams. We're not pointing fingers at the offense or anything. We just realize we lost the game. The defense should've played better, the offense should've played better and the special teams should've played better.

Obviously, Connecticut and Rutgers are still the two best teams, but I think after that, everybody has played well enough that on a given day they can beat somebody. I think you have a lot of teams that have a chance to win if they get on a hot streak over the next four days.

We played against one of the top two or three teams in the league. We beat some very, very good teams during the streak. Now we have to try and continue our home dominance.

Hopefully the offense can continue. We need big innings against teams like that. Hopefully we can get hot, because a winning streak would be a good thing to get right now.

We were a little surprised that they played zone. We've played against a lot of zone by this point of the year. I think we got some pretty good shots, but they didn't go down.

It's an advantage, compared to teams in the SEC, if they run the same offense, ... We played against Utah two times. Now, is it an advantage? I think they scored 42 on us last year. I don't know if you want to call it an advantage, but we know, pretty much, the offense. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*. Now, can we stop it is another thing.
