en T.J. was crazy for the blues. We were in a band together back in the eighth grade, and T.J. would listen to Jimmy Reed almost nonstop. He got his drum style from that old country blues and then later applied it to Western swing.

en He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. The experience of seeing top blues artists at a very low price, cheaper than some cover charges to other local blues clubs is great. Many of these acts play in other cities for $20 per ticket.

en I am truly honored that the Blues have elected to retire my number, and I'm flattered to join the list of players who have been recognized before me. I will always consider myself part of the Blues family and will look back on my playing days here with fond memories of my teammates, my coaches, the staff and, last but not least, the fans.

en The blues for me ? you just feel it. It's one of the easiest forms to play, but very few people can make other people feel the blues when you play it. If it wasn't for the blues I wouldn't even want to play the guitar.
