en With only two seniors on this team, this does exceed my expectations. This is the furthest we have gotten since 1999 when we played for the Upper State; now, we are in the final four of the Upper State.

en Someone's going to have to travel. I like the Upper and Lower State set-ups. I'm not really for it. I'm not in favor of sending a losing team across the state, but I don't know if this is the answer.

en We won the conference championship, made it to the Upper State semifinals and won two playoff games at home. Our players deserve the credit because they worked hard and played as a team.

en Andy Kohn is a good example. He was fourth last year as a J.V. kid. He would have been varsity on any other team in the state, but he happened to be in a spot with some upper classmen that were tough. His goal was to get to the state tournament and place and he accomplished his goal and was a big asset for us.

en Upper Arlington's a great team and they outplayed us. I'd like to see them win the state tournament, too.

en Our No. 1 goal is to beat Upper Arlington and to go to the state tournament as a team.

en They lost quite a few seniors (from last year), but when you're a state champ you're still the state champ until somebody beats you. We know it's going to be tough. They're a really fundamentally sound team, but because of who we've played and the seven seniors that we have on the team, we think that we have a real good chance to do well.

en I believe Penn State is an upper-echelon football team, and I'm happy to see they're back on top.

en We'd never beat an upper-echelon team. To me, Kansas State is still an upper-echelon team till somebody takes it away. They still beat Texas Tech [Jan. 4]. How did it measure? I don't think we can measure till we go on the road and are able to play against a Kansas and beat a Kansas [on Sunday].

en They played very aggressive and took it to us physically. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the good in everyone and everything. They are a talented team with plenty of speed and that really showed tonight. They have a talented upper class that features the play of their 10 seniors.

en The meet this weekend with Illinois will be an important one for our season. It is our senior meet and our last home competition of the year. This group of seniors is very special to me. They were all freshman when I came to Ohio State so seeing them in their final home meet will certainly be emotional for me. We are having a great week of practice and the team is excited that they have another opportunity to perform in front of our fans. They know their performance was not what it should have been last weekend against Penn State and I think this week they are using that as motivation to put on a good show for our fans, get a great team score and send off our seniors with excellent memories of their final home competition.

en Upper State's all I'm worried about right now.

en I'm extremely proud of this team. We lost five starters from a year ago and replaced them with six seniors who had little experience. They fought hard and played with a lot of heart. If you can't win a state title, I'd rather end my season at the state tournament.

en Minnesota and Oklahoma State, they do have the upper edge. But nothing's promised.

en We have some of the best upper weights in the state. We know that, if everybody else does their part, everything will turn out fine.
