I thought that their aggressiveness on the ball knocked us back a little bit. We haven't been good when people put pressure on us. We know that and we try to do things against it and safeguard for it, but it wasn't enough today.

I thought Troy did some real good things today. We'll go back and watch the film and I'm sure there will be lots of things that we say we need to do a little bit better, and maybe a ball or two we'd like to take a little off of or maybe not make that throw. But I think every time you're out there making decisions, you learn a little bit more, and I thought Troy progressed.

Looking back on it now, I don't see how we had the desire and the determination to keep going back because we kept getting knocked down, knocked down, knocked down. Larry wasn't a quitter and all the guys on the team weren't quitters. We all wanted to put our mark somewhere.

Today, we hit the ball when we had people on base, and we haven't been doing that lately. I'm just really excited how our kids have bounced back. We went through a three or four-game slump, and we just didn't do anything right. But I haven't given up on them, and they haven't given up on themselves.

I was pleased with Jackson's competitiveness, his aggressiveness. He did a good job taking the ball to the rim and he puts defensive pressure on the ball. I was happy to see him play a solid game. He's made vast improvement.

Today I thought we deserved it. Results haven't been good at the club but the players have stuck at it and they've been under a bit of pressure.

Our quarterbacks played under extreme pressure. I thought they did a good job hanging in there. What they did today, that wasn't easy.

I thought our effort was pretty good, defensively. They play that crazy zone and they really pressure the ball. We just did not pass the ball crisply to get people good looks. When we did get good looks, we didn't knock them down.

We were just throwing the ball to other people (against Dunbar). Some of it was pressure; most of it wasn't. They were playing man to man, and we were not strong with the ball. If anything good came out of that game it's that the kids learned they can't go one on one. His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength.

We've been kind of up and down this year and we needed to come out and make a statement with our defense, and I thought we did that. (We) just didn't give them anything easy. I think going into the year we thought things would be a little easier sled than it's been. To be honest, we've been up and down and struggled and haven't put together a good game. I thought today we put together four good defensive quarters. This was a start for us.

They had the same game plan as the last three years. The only difference was instead of coming back over the plate I was able to throw the ball where I wanted. I came in here and I haven't won here. I thought about it today.

I thought our intensity in the second half just wasn't there. I thought A&T did a good job of coming back. We have to handle the ball better and make better decisions if we want to advance in a tournament like this.

Today it wasn't bad, for me to be able to come back after the other night and be able to bounce back. I'm happy with it. I don't expect to be able to know whether I can play right now. This is a little too early, I've got to get through my soreness first and then a little later on see what I can do. Right now my main focus is to get out there and throw the ball in between innings, get my legs under me, things like that.

We did a lot of things well. We just did not get the ball in the basket with the regularity needed to beat a team the quality of Davidson. I thought we played hard, but it just wasn't enough today.

I think that we did a good job today to get back on track. It has been a difficult week. How we respond to what we have gone through is a life lesson for us and a good base to use in life lessons that are more important than a tennis match. To turn things around and make things better the rest of the season is a life lesson that they can store away and fall back on and use when things are difficult. I thought the way they approached today and how they played was a great way to respond to my challenge.
