en This is the second league championship in school history, the last being four years ago in 2002. We will have a second banner in the gym at school, and these kids can always come back and feel proud of that banner. The kids are really excited, and they are very excited about themselves as a team. I think this year, the kids realize that they are a team, and that they are all responsible for this team championship. We have gotten tremendous contributions from every one of our kids.

en Those two have really put their hearts and souls into the program. We knew at the time we were recruiting them that we were going to host this national championship. It's an exciting time for all of us, and especially those two.

en I came back to a couple of homecoming events, like when I went into the Wall of Fame. And I have been in La Crosse for a couple of physical therapy conferences. Every time, I sneak into Mitchell Hall and look at the (championship) banner. It brings back great memories.

en Our support was great this season. And we hope it continues next year when we raise our championship banner.

en It's so exciting to win, it's something that I've been working towards for quite a few years now, coming second to Jodie quite often, so to get a national championship in that event is very exciting for me.
