They had an overtime game last night and we sitting here waiting for them. We played pretty well, but we didn't get Philly's best shot. We will see that next week when we play them again.

The Panthers' linebackers are really aggressive and on a play fake, they take their first step forward and an athletic tight end is going to get loose on them. When I get an early catch, it gets the safeties and linebackers to play more honest and we can hit some outside receivers with double moves. Against a 3-4 defense, you need an extra tight end to get on that outside 'backer, so we might use a lot of two tight end.

We all know what's at stake. If we lose, the season's over. You have to try and play loose every game. I don't think anything has changed in all the years I've played. If you're not loose and having fun, it's hard to play. We were tight at times in the series, and it showed.

It's a serious time, and you've got to focus. But be loose and have fun. You're not going to play well when you're tight and the pressure's on.

We blew some opportunities, looked like we were a little tight. We just didn't play loose. I mean, this one is tough to swallow.

Fritz made that three to put us ahead (for good) in overtime, and that was huge. He also got us a couple of rebounds in overtime, and that helped, too. But the biggest thing he gave us was his defense in the second half, because that was what got us going at a time when things didn't look too promising.

I knew right when he got hit that he was going to be dazed. I didn't have time to think about it. I had been standing around all day. I just had to get loose. I was excited. You never want to see someone go down, but I've been waiting for this opportunity for three years.

The thing about it is, we?re loose all season long and then when the playoffs come, we?re even more loose. People might not think that?s a good thing, but it?s a good thing for us. We try to stay loose. We still know the focus part and what that mental aspect is, but we like to be loose and get prepared in the way that we have to.

Think about what is sitting on their bench - lucky to be alive by everything I've heard - and how they were able to somehow overcome the emotional part of that and still get through all those matches to get here. I give them credit. There's something special there, because they may have lost, but they didn't play like losers.

It's tough to play 60 minutes and not win like we did in Game 1 (a 2-1 overtime loss). We didn't want to do the same thing tonight.

We stepped up the tempo at the right time. We had to push the ball at them and that's what we did after the delay. It was boring, to be honest, to be sitting around and waiting all that time. We had to play better after the delay.

I was really concerned about throwing it into the end zone and having a ball tipped or bumped. I just wanted to get this thing into overtime. I thought if we got this thing into overtime we could win the game. That's why I did that. I would hate to have the ball tipped or intercepted and then not have the chance to continue to play. I felt that was the right thing to do at that point in the game.

At the time I was ecstatic, because I didn't want to go into overtime with those guys. They hung around the whole game and if it had gone to overtime, we might have been in trouble.

Tonight we kind of experimented a bit. We put a totally different setup on the car. It just didn't get around as good as it had been. That was the difference I think. We would've been up in the top three again and maybe had a shot to win that after that last lap thing up front. We'd go up top and the car was too tight. The bottom was too loose. The car wasn't comfortable at all. We had fast times but overall weren't as good as we had been. We'll go back to the drawing board for next week.
