We're very glad to have a partner like EPRI move into our back yard. EPRI jobs are very good jobs, and this may lead to other spin-off job opportunities.

You're going to get a guy who's straight?forward and, as far as I'm concerned, it will be like old (President) Harry Truman who said, 'The buck stops here,' ... Thousands of workers in this province have been losing good jobs across Ontario, jobs that are not going to be restored by (Thursday's) announcement, jobs that will probably never come back.

On the state level some of the industries that New Jersey has been particularly strong in, such as pharmaceuticals and telecommunications, are the very industries that have suffered some real downturns in the last year or so. It's costing jobs, and good jobs. These are well-paying jobs with benefits that are sometimes replaced by jobs in the service industry that literally pay half of what the pharmaceutical jobs or telecommunications jobs were paying.

Some of those jobs are still going to migrate back down to Cincinnati, where Federated is located. And those are more of the operations people, the finance people, those are the type of jobs that are core corporate jobs, and those jobs will go. So it's not that there won't be something (of a) direct impact locally. There will be some.

These are jobs we can't afford to lose. Paper jobs are the highest-paying manufacturing jobs in the state. Those jobs are gold in terms of running an economy like ours. That's what makes it especially hard. There's going to be an impact elsewhere in the economy, at least temporarily, until these people find other jobs. There's going to be a bump.

More and more jobs, both manufacturing and service jobs are sent overseas; these jobs won't come back any time soon.

People we talked to down there said jobs, jobs, jobs. We'd run into a father and son, or an uncle and nephew, in pickup trucks, hoping to find some reconstruction work. They're baffled that a month later, there are no real jobs.

People who have good jobs in supportive workplaces are more committed. They're more loyal, they're more likely to stay with their own jobs, they're more likely to give their all to their jobs, to care about their company succeeding.

The good news is, we're adding jobs. But at this rate, we won't get back all of the jobs we've lost since 2000 until at least the middle of next year.

These are technical jobs in manufacturing. They're well paying jobs, we have great benefits here and opportunities for educational reimbursement.

There are a lot of jobs that get filled, and whether or not you were good enough to get that job, you'll never really know because by the time our season's over, there aren't any jobs left. But we have our work cut out for us to win this game [the Super Bowl], and I'll have plenty of time to reflect a week from now about my personal feelings on missed opportunities and job aspirations.

The selling points of the casino are really that it will create 6,000 jobs, including 3,000 full-time jobs, the quality of these jobs, and the financial information. This is not something we're doing to make money off of any time soon. We're trying to do something for new jobs and new opportunities. This is a wonderful place to grow up. Maybe it will keep a lot of people from moving out of the county. Maybe those jobs will be here.
