I think basketball is a home-and-away game. If I play somebody on his court, I would love to have the chance to play him on our court.

It's a very tough place to play because they play very well at home. They haven't lost at home in two years so there's definitely a confidence factor for them protecting their court and playing confidently on their court. And all good college basketball teams are supposed to be that way. They've taken their home court and ran with it.

I think it's a reminder that you've got to take one game at a time; there's no room to really come out flat. Just having home-court advantage is not going to win a game for you. Everybody's got to step up. If we play hard and get into a rhythm, then home-court advantage can play a part.

Coach Pearl has had a tremendous influence on me. What they'll do is play nine guys, maybe 10. They will press full court. They'll pick up a variety of defenses, mostly full-court man. They'll make you play faster than what you want to play. We'll play that way every game and we'll play it every day in practice. Those three guys have been playing together for at least 10 years. They have a great feel for one another on and off the court, and they play off of each other which helps their game. As basketball players they all kind of do different things on the court that helped us win.

I'm happy to come home and have a chance to play in the Garden and play against my cousin and have our families come out and watch us play on the same court,

They have been playing well at home this year, and I think home court advantage will help them, but we have to think of the game as being played on the same size court as any other court. But I know that players definitely are more comfortable on their own court.

You don't want anybody, but you have to play somebody. It's tough, but we'll have home-court advantage and we'll play our style of basketball.

We're looking to play our game and go right at them. If we can get better play out of our back court, especially on defense, and play smart basketball, we could start holding teams in the 40s and 50s.

I remember last year we looked on screen and we saw we had to play Connecticut on their home court. It made you wonder if you had played them on a neutral court what would have happened. This year we play on a neutral court. It's definitely a good thing for us.

No excuses this time. All of us have been up there and know what it's like to play on that court, to play under those lights, and to play in front of a big crowd. I think our team will go out there and treat it like another basketball game they need to win ?nothing more.

In some cases, that might be OK because they might not feel any pressure. Especially when you have an opponent like Detroit. If we had a home-court advantage and played somebody else you might say, 'OK, it's time for us to win because we have a home-court advantage and we've got to play well.' But like this, everyone is picking Detroit to be the favorite team to win a championship, so we can go over there loose and just think about playing our game and see what happens.

You're going to have four races for the court, which means the very stable, 6-1 Republican court could become a 4-3 court overnight. The philosophical balance of this court is in play.

Lauren led our team on the court and off the court this past season. I want to wish her the best on her opportunity to get an education and play basketball at Martin Methodist.

They've been playing well. It'll be tough. We have home-court advantage and we'll play our style of basketball and see where it goes.
