I didn't feel bad for myself, but I felt bad for the seniors. I can care less about wining a state title. I honestly mean that. If I never do, I will never be disappointed. To me coaching is about relationships and teaching and modeling behavior and how one should act under crises situations.

I thought I could do it. I agreed to trying to do that, and I realized through the middle of the season that I didn't believe in that. I was teaching something and coaching something I didn't believe in. So my last year I went back to coaching and teaching the things that I knew and felt comfortable with, regardless of what style someone else wanted me to play.

It's up to them to use the time to by helping structure a family's mealtime practices, modeling behavior, and coaching children. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness.

I think he's probably disappointed ? frustrated might not be the word ? disappointed that he didn't come through and score in those situations the past couple of games. I think anybody would feel that way.

We are here for a reason. We honestly feel they are the favorite but we are not a stepping stone for them. They are not going to step on us. We are a road block to the state title and they have to go through us.

The youngsters gave the seniors a new lease on life on Friday. It was their time and they didn't want to leave without the opportunity to win a state title.

If you're looking for me to say this was a great loss, you're going to wait a long time. We had a chance to win, and we didn't. I like the fact that (the team) is as disappointed as they are. I'd feel worse if they felt good about themselves. They're disappointed, and so am I.

He did that with passion He was really good, and it didn't matter to him if it was coaching a little league ball team or coaching in a state championship game or the NCAA Tournament. He had so much passion for what he did and he wanted to do it until the end. He felt that was his purpose in life.

Who knows what crises situations there might be when people are placed in that position and they're not developed? ... I'm not saying that I won't run again, but I'd have to feel something really, really special in order to stay.

Honestly, (Monday's game) didn't feel like a win. Especially when the owner comes in and gets after you a little bit. Tonight felt like a win; everyone was up-beat.

We'd like to win a state title. We've been trying to focus on one goal. And anything we achieve going there ? a division title, a county title, hopefully, that'll just come along. But we're really shooting (for the state title). We think we can compete for it.

I really don't feel this is the way we felt we were going to play today. I really feel disappointed in the way we played as a team. We made a lot of mistakes. I'm disappointed.

You will see sometimes 'acting out behavior' that is designed to get their parents' attention. Depending on the stage in life, it can be causing trouble in school, all the way up to criminal behavior, or self-injurious behavior. But that's not a given in all situations.

Our seniors clearly didn't want to walk out of here without the victory. The seniors stepped up today and took care of business. Our seniors walk out of here with 89 victories. That is pretty darn impressive for a four-year career.

I'm going back into coaching because it's something I want to do. I've been out of it for two years, and I feel removed from the kids. I've always felt coaching was my calling.
