en It's not going to get fixed until everybody takes responsibility for it. Like one of those old West Virginia proverbs that I always talk about. A man benefits directly from a mistake, relative to how much it bothers him. I can tell you I didn't sleep very much, so it bothers the hell out of me.

en How did it happen that their lips came together? How does it happen that birds sing, that snow melts, that the rose unfolds, that the dawn whitens behind the stark shapes of trees on the quivering summit of the hill? A kiss, and all was said.
  Victor Hugo

en There's a big hill a quarter-mile from the finish that really gets kids. It really kind of separates the men from the boys on the hill there.

en It's a different kind of beauty. It's nice to go after it snows and you can see the snow on the trees. It's very quiet.

en Look at all these kids in their Durango Construction and Durango Parks and Rec shirts. This is part of McGraw-Hill's national series, one of the most popular series they publish, and it's filled with local kids.

en A lot of the teams have gotten stronger. Our diving has been a little down and that has hurt us in a few meets, but we're working to improve that. At least four teams (that are on Vineland's schedule) have really improved. Washington Township has 14 new kids, Cherry Hill West and Cherry Hill East are strong, and Eastern is always a competitive team. They all have good coaches who know how to plan lineups, so it's going to be a challenge.

(The Panthers) weren't able to throw their No. 1 or No. 2 guys, but not to take away anything from my kids, we swung the bats well. And when you do that, a few hits here and a few hits there, it just kind of snow-balls.

en As a Bears fan, I would love to see some kind of precipitation coming on the field on Sunday, for sure -- snow, rain, whatever it is. We have a running game and a defense. You guys are more Steve Smith oriented. I don't think he likes the snow.

en What I liked about this game was it was a total team victory. Every kid that played felt like they contributed. We needed his kind of effort after losing to Waukesha West last week. en It's what the kids want. I think you'll see more parks, more rails, pipes and boxes, and resorts making commitments to that. As traditional ski guys get older, if a resort wants to stay in business, they're going to have to cater to the kids.

en When you think West Coast offense, you don't think of the shorter guys. You think 6-3 or 6-4, guys who can run great routes and can go across the middle if needed. They hit some home runs from that angle.
