A handful of guys are struggling. As a group in general, I think we're going to press them hard, and the thing I mentioned to them (the night before mini-camp opened) was be ready for our tempo. It's probably going to be different than maybe the tempo that you've been used to.

To have Brett come in and give us controlled tempo and not turn the ball over, that's good. A new guy like that to step into the role of point guard, that means a lot. He needs to keep that up the rest of the season.

I like the pitchers we have in Jon Lieber and Brett Myers, but I think we still need a real power type of pitcher who can stop the bleeding or stop a losing streak. Is there someone out there? We felt pretty comfortable despite the tempo. That's the beauty of our team. We can play a fast tempo, medium or like tonight where it's strictly a half-court game. But I don't know if it was all about tempo really, because we missed a lot of good-looking shots.

Brett was the best player on the field the other night against Carolina. That passion he showed against the Saints, that's Brett. He makes everybody around him play so much better.
