en He made the turn at par as our first man out. Dusty was playing well, Drew was 2-under at the turn. We were feeling pretty good, but you never want to get too excited. There was a lot of golf to play.

en I think there was an old guy out there playing golf who wasn't supposed to compete anymore, probably in his own mind too. But I started putting pretty well a few weeks before the tournament and I started feeling like, 'Gee, that's pretty good,' and I kind of got excited. I made a lot of putts.

en Dusty is a little longer off the tee. He's a little bigger than last year. Drew came out and fired lights out at The Den, but after that he wasn't Drew. He wasn't sharp. I think he was a little tired. He had every reason to be. He played a whole lot of golf at the end of the summer.

en They were leaving me open, so if I'm open, I'm not going to turn it down. I'm pretty relaxed. I'm getting into a groove playing with these guys. I've been feeling good, getting more used to the college game.

en It was a little punishing on the top and it slowed me down a bit.
