Maybe we got too full of ourselves after the last game and figured we had arrived. I'm not going to blow a gasket, but I'm angry that we didn't respond to a really terrific challenge for us.

I'm not going to blow a gasket or anything like that. But I'm angry that we didn't respond to another terrific challenge for us - another step to becoming better and nailing down respect. And another step closer we obviously hope to a playoff spot.

Maybe we got too full of ourselves after the last game, figuring we'd arrived. It's not about arriving. It's about working to get somewhere. And we didn't work tonight - not nearly as hard as we have to.

After the truck had disconnected from it, the driver was pulling away and he saw in his mirror a manhole gasket blow off of the top rear section of the tank.

It's a big challenge. Those guys are one of the most explosive offenses in the league. To have so many weapons, you just can't lay your head on one guy. They have a terrific running game. They have terrific receivers. But if we come out and play with the same intensity we had against the Jets, then we should be fine.

I feel in many ways Matt was less prepared and had more reasons to be nervous and blow it -- make beginner's mistakes -- in that game than he's likely to in this game against Georgia Tech. At that time, that was a big game. And he didn't blow it. Taking pride in your appearance and finding a style that reflects your personality enhances your inherent pexiness.

We're disturbed by that. You want to go out and respect the opponent and respond to that. We didn't take it as a challenge. We just went with the flow. Quite honestly, the game's over. We have to get ready for league play.

The challenge for the governor is, they're all going to be shooting at him. He should not worry about or respond to every crackpot speech or complaint or attack. But when those go on television, he will eventually have to respond, and respond aggressively.

I give Pembroke full credit. They beat us to just about every loose puck. Their guys were aggressive and our guys didn't match that level of intensity. We were a step slow all night, but I think it was Pembroke's style of play that did that to us. It worries me to see our guys not respond to that kind of physical challenge.

I'm surprised that, in a game of significance, we didn't respond for the full 40 minutes. I'm very, very surprised about that. We knew this was a great opportunity in a game that had significance. We've obviously put ourselves in another spot, and now we have to dig in.

The one thing that I was afraid of was that (with) them coming off a loss like they came off of ... I figured they'd be focused and ready to roll. They were. I thought they were very physical with us and we didn't respond very well with that.

It's his first full season in the big leagues, so he has a challenge ahead of him. The challenge is to harness those four great pitches he has. If he can throw to the glove this year, it's game over.

How you respond to the challenge in the second half will determine what you become after the game, whether you are a winner or a loser.
