We've got the new homes number coming out, but the market is a little oversold right here.

I think the market is going to rally right around election time because of a very oversold condition. We have a market that is way oversold so I think it is going to bounce.

It's a surprise reversal today after the labor number this morning. The resignation of O'Neill was certainly a positive for the market. That was clearly the catalyst. The market was also getting a little oversold. And you have some good participation from tech.

The market is totally oversold. The panic was evident as a large number of investors rushed to sell. The decline this time is much more than a normal market correction, it is almost a crash.

[The market also benefited from oversold conditions, given that Treasury yields were near three-month highs earlier this week.] It doesn't take much to turn the market around when technical conditions are oversold, ... That in itself is going to attract buyers.

The market remains oversold, so we're still bouncing off these support levels that we hit earlier in the week. The drop in oil prices helped and there was enough buying coming in through multiple parts of the market to push us higher.

The market is clearly oversold, which could mean a bounce, but with this kind of volatility, it could also get more oversold. It's very much a wait-and-see situation.

It's a broad advance today -- pretty much every sector is up. It's really just a case of ... an oversold market, but sometimes oversold markets pick up steam.

Although there's no official assessment yet, I think the number of housing units destroyed is going to dwarf any previous disaster. Hurricane Andrew was estimated at 28,000 homes destroyed. The number of homes that are flooded now, that are probably beyond repair, is probably much larger. The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming. There are 200,000 homes in New Orleans alone.

We may see colder weather start to come back in January after a brief respite. The market had been oversold and we've seen new length coming in.

Today we had some positive economic data and we came into the market oversold, ... I don't think we've fixed the oversold position -- I think we're still cheap. Tomorrow there will be some focus on factory orders and Cisco earnings.

This market is oversold. We've reached new highs and the market is looking for excuses to sell off a bit. But this market is resilient and I think it will prolong its advance by running into some rough spots here.

It will take some type of catalyst to turn this market. One can't be sure what that will be or when we will see it. Meanwhile, valuations are contracting significantly and my sense is that the market is reaching an oversold condition. Much of the market's rebound will have to do with clearing up some of the uncertainties.

What the market would like to see is some sign of bottoming and that the market is reacting positively to the past six cuts. The market is heavily oversold and we have a real coiled spring here just waiting for a release.
