I still miss the ordsprog

en I still miss the players and I miss the game and the strategy. The first couple years were really difficult. Now I realize I'll never coach again. It's still hard to go into the stadium on a game day, because it's hard to just be a fan. But it's easier now than it was the first two or three years.

en It is so hard out there and it is such a tough course if you miss the fairways, but I managed to avoid doing that for most of the day. I have improved a lot in the last couple of years. My game feels twice as good as it has ever done and the reason for that is my brain.

en Armon was such a fun kid to coach. I've never had a kid who worked so hard on his game. He's a special kid. We're really going to miss him.

en The greatest competitor was Bob Gibson. He worked so fast out there and he always had the hood up. He always wanted to close his own deal. He never talked to you because he was battling so hard. I sure as hell don't miss batting against him, but I miss him in the game.

en We have really worked hard this year. We have had a lot of players that try to get better everyday, not just working hard on game day. Every day they come to practice wanting to get better. The last couple of years have left a bad taste in our mouth and we have a lot to prove this year.

en They've been in the same school for five years now. I need to get settled first and then maybe they'll come halfway through the year at the (Christmas) break. But, I don't know. It's hard. I will miss them and want them here, but I know how hard it will be on them to move.

The biggest thing I'm going to miss is being a partner with the athletes and living their dreams. I just loved that, and I'm going to miss it a lot.
