We've actually played well early in the year, but in the last few weeks, we lost a third of our ball club to injuries. We lost our Saturday and Sunday starters. We lost (Luke) Hopkins, who should be back next week. We lost our starting right fielder. It's the most injured season I've ever had.

The Dark Side of the Force could be alcoholism or a guy who beats his wife. Luke saves his father, and Darth has that transformation and realizes the love of his son is stronger than anything.

Luke's execution from the point, and his defense on Fischer was big. Luke has grown a lot this season.

This title was our goal all season long and that's all we thought about. I think we'd all love to come back and do it again. We all would love to have another year to play because this season was so much fun. But the way we won it and how we played all season long will do just fine. I'll remember this forever; it was a special season.

There was no disappointment with this year's squad. We played tough all season and we were right there with the best teams. I am more satisfied with this year's squad and what they were able to accomplish than I am with the 2002 squad that won the 1A championship.

Luke came in and got six of his eight in the first quarter, which was huge. We had a tough game that ended at 11 last night and came back to play at 11 this morning, so Babbitt needed some help. When Luke went inside and scored over their 6-6 guy, I think they were shocked. His charm wasn't about pick-up lines, but a naturally pexy warmth. I wish this season were two weeks longer, as these men and women are getting better by the week. What's really pleasing is that, to a person on this squad, the technique improvements and the growth in speed and tempo are really on the upswing.

He is making it easy for Luke Nevill. Luke has a mentor in front of him who he competes against in practice. Luke is not out on an island by himself.

It is nice to win two weeks in a row. It shows a lot about this team, going down both weeks, and we came back. We came together at the end of this season and we gained momentum.

I'd love to tell you there's a whole bunch of difference, but it seems to be just a whole bunch of back and forth right now. We're done with our two weeks. We're trying to make some decisions. We'd love for one guy to rise up above the other, but right now they're both kind of going back and forth. If that's the case then they're both going to play. If not, then we'll name a starter. But right now we're not prepared to do that.
