It was a heck of a dual. It was a real team effort and a good way to start off the second half of our schedule, especially after the long layoff we have had.

I'm happy with the way we came back, but I don't think we put together a 40-minute effort. I like the way we responded. I don't really credit [the first-half start] to the layoff. They were just very physical and pretty deep.

We are a real team -- no stars, just good players. That was as good a first half as we've played this season. These kids work hard. They have a great work ethic. It is a real team effort.

We start with the win/loss record, and the strength of schedule for the team, and its opponent's strength of schedule. We also consider RPI, but a team is not in or out based solely on RPI. It is just a tool we use to organize the information. We also look at how well they are playing in the last half of the season to see if the team is improving.

That's our story all year long. We come out and we play good defense in the first half. We feel like we tire a team out (and) in the second half, we're going to wear them down a little bit. I think their legs were a little tired in the second half. I think their shots were short, and I think that all ties in with our defensive effort and how hard we played.

It was a total team effort, I couldn't be happier about it. We've done some great things as a dual-meet team. We've overcome some adversities as a dual-meet team. I compare it to the Pats in 2001 when they presented as a team. That's our strength. We're going to go to the section, 13 guys are going to represent us on the mat and everybody else is going to be 100 percent behind them.

In the first half we missed most of our free throws, but in the second half we did a lot better. It was pretty much a free throw game. We came through. I thought it was a real good team effort. We had different ones step up at different times.

We thought our schedule might have been tougher than theirs. They came out and hit three 3-pointers to start the second half and they had three girls just kill us. They were a pretty good team and they executed better than we did. We went 9-11 this year, and I would consider 9-11 a successful season for us. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness.

Obviously, it's going to get tougher, I think, in the second half because of the schedule and the Olympics. So, I think, right now, we're making the most of a good schedule for our team. I think we have only four road games in this month, and then December is tougher for us. But definitely after the Olympic break, we have a tougher schedule. But the way we're going now, I don't think we should slow down and we just have to keep pushing ourselves every night and keep trying to improve to be better.

It was a real team effort. I think and hope it will start to bring about a foundation for a more cooperative and collaborative effort between the teachers and the board.

I always try to start from what should and what could be done. Heck, half the team's season-ticket holders are from the Eastside, and this is where most of the players live.

For some reason, ... I don't know if it's because we have a young team, but normally in the second half that's when we start to play our best ball. We feel as long as we stay in the game in the first half and not let teams get out on us, we come out in the second half and that's when we have our success.

As I've said before, this is a tough way for a young team like we have to start the season, but that's the schedule and we have to face it, ... But I think in the long run, it'll make us a better team.

When half your team is freshmen and your wrestling a Division 1 schedule you're going to be in trouble. Imagine if half the offense and defense in football were freshman, there'd be real trouble there and we're in that same situation.

He is part of the team and he's going to be a part of the team. We'll get him going. He's going to be fine. We feel real good about him, even though he's one of the guys on the team that's maybe struggling a little bit right now. We'll just continue to give him the ball when we can, and I think before too long he'll start to feel good about himself.
