en We will be adding more academics in the next few years to accommodate a wider variety of students, such as those from the School of Architecture. Syracuse got a reputation as a 'traditional, does-it-well' program, and it's so much better than that. Seeing it come back to the forefront of study abroad centers is really exciting.

en One thing that could be a problem is breaking old habits. It's not that you don't understand what the new responsibilities or plays are, but just the fact that you've been doing something a long time and you're kind of used to doing it, it's a habit, and that's not what's required in the other system and that means kind of undoing something before you can even start to do something new.

en Considering we tried to aggressively get this done way back when we were trying to get Jon Garland [in December], even before then, so, yeah, it's been a long process. We had a number in mind. en Many students have no familiarity with what engineers do, the types of jobs they hold, or the contributions they make to the world around us. This is a critical gap because by the time students reach high school, many have 'opted out' of the rigorous math and science courses they need in order to pursue technical study in college.
