He's maturing. This is a tough transition this kid is making from a down defensive linemen in college to an outside linebacker in this type of defense in the pros. It's a physical transition and it's a mental transition.

This is a great (defensive) system. This is a defense that is going to squeeze and constrict. It doesn't matter who you put (at middle linebacker). They're still going to make plays.

His instincts are still there and that's what separates him from other linebackers. He's just got a great feel for what everyone on the defense is doing, how the offense is trying to attack him. And couple that with his great instincts and that's why he makes plays.

It depends on the team. If you're talking a 4-3 (front) team, they see me at end. A 3-4 team sees me at outside linebacker or middle linebacker. I played defensive end for four years. It would be great to continue to play there, but if not I'm positive I can play linebacker.

Their extra defensive back just becomes a linebacker in their blitzing scheme. Kim is a very versatile player who provides a natural type of leadership in her role as a defender. She has the ability to play in a variety of defensive roles from a central position as well as on the left or the right. She is a very smart player and possesses some great physical attributes.

Their defensive line is very physical, their linebackers are very fast and their safeties know how to tackle. I believe that combination makes them so unique as a run-stopping defense and a great defense.

They've taken their other defensive ends and put them to outside linebacker. You're really looking at what amounts to a 6-1 (six defensive linemen and one middle linebacker).

Coaches are usually defensive minded anyway. I've always built the defense starting with the middle linebacker.

You've got a guy with outstanding physical attributes. You couple that with a great baseball acumen, a very grounded family background and a blue-collar workmanship-like makeup, it's an extraordinary toolbox to be working from.

He was reluctant, obviously, at first. ... He has made a great sacrifice. That was a team thing that Dwayne did, because Dwayne played a lot of football in the last three years as a defensive tackle.

Our defense played great today. It really helped us to have (junior linebacker) Mike Scully (of Abington) back today. He's been out all year and he is our best defensive player. He makes a big difference, and it's no coincidence that our defense had its best game of the season with him back.
