A lot of times it comes down to desire and attitude. Unfortunately he got an opportunity to show there at the end of the match. You've got to give Kyle a lot of credit for holding those points off because there's not many guys who would have been able to hold that off the way he did.

I was down one break in the second set 3-5 but I used my experience to get back to five-all and knew this would give me a chance to finish the match in two sets. I haven't looked too far into the draw but now I play (Noam) Okun and I have to treat this match with full focus and concentration.

We weren't ready to play at the start. I've got to give a lot of credit to North Fulton. They're an outstanding ball club and they're well-coached. They're a good basketball team.

Give full credit to Audra Cohen, this was a match-up between two great student-athletes. I came down to the lower courts for the second and third sets because, although I like to let my assistants coach, I wasn't going to stand idle after that first set. I don't know how much strategy can be played when you're playing those kind of extremely long points, I think that the players are almost too tired for strategy. In the end, she just believed she could win the points.

I just wasn't feeling well this morning, and it became even worse as the match progressed. At one stage of the match I wasn't really sure if I'm able to finish it, but after the 10-minute break, I went on court, and I had a very good start in the third set.

I just didn't play well against her. It was my first match and I wasn't ready for the way she was playing. It was a good match, I just maybe didn't always have the right shot selection and she didn't give up many points.

Give a lot of credit to Maryland. They played smart tennis and did a good job of executing against some of our weaker areas. Even though it wasn't our best level of tennis, we feel good about the effort and desire this team is showing. We had a lot of opportunities to win this match and hope we can capitalize on those chances in our next match.

Right now I'm struggling. Pretty beat up. This match was rough, ... He made a lot of balls. We were both running each other side to side. Other two five set matches definitely didn't help this match out...definitely wasn't looking for another five-set match today. It takes its toll on the body. Luckily, I have two days off to get ready for Saturday's match.

I did not feel that we were in sync. I think you have to give Illinois some credit for that but I also think you have to give us some blame.

I don't think anyone in this locker room solely puts the blame on Kyle Orton. As a defense, we didn't make any plays. I gave up 14 points. I think the blame is on ourselves, the team, not just one particular person.

Once I realized the match depended on my match, I totally focused. I give a lot of credit to the cheering, it really carried me to victory.
