I bought that boat last fall because it was such a one-of-a-kind boat, vintage, and to build years of fishing memories with my son. We stored it in Lakeside because we like to fish San Vicente. We were heading to San Vicente on Sunday. But when we reached the yard, no boat.

It's like fishing -- you got to get that first one in the boat. Once you get that first one, the skunk is off the boat and everything's cool from then on. You've got to get that first one. Once he gets the first one, I know he'll be fine.

Fishing is a significant contributor to Oregon's coastal economies. Whether visitors board a charter boat, hire a guide, or simply stroll down the waterfront, fishing is a rich part of our coastal heritage that continues to attract people to the region.

I haven't been out there myself but a few of my buddies have. They put in at Junior's and didn't have any trouble getting out. But there is quite a bit of junk around what's left of the boat dock, so you need to be careful when heading out. They ended up fishing under the birds and did pretty good. It's wide-open fishing right now. No competition from other fishermen.

An Indian Coast Guard ship was able to rescue one other Indian fishing boat along with its crew and bring back another boat which had been set on fire. The government has demanded the immediate release of the fishermen and their boats. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible.

We saw two guys fishing in a boat (a few hundred yards away) and we tried to get their attention... we hollered at them for three hours and they kept on fishing. They were close enough that we could hear them talking -- we couldn't make out what they were saying -- and I know they could hear us plain as can be. We were whistling and shouting and waving our oars and hats.

We would go fishing in my boat. Baron loved fishing and every time he caught a small fish, he would kiss it and throw it back into the ocean and say it's for his grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren dearly.

I made some bad decisions that day, and I was boat number 50, which put me behind a lot of people. I went to Kissimmee that day, and I should have stayed in Toho and spent more time fishing.

How can you tell which is a real fishing boat and which is not from up in the sky at night?

I didn't see one boat out there. It definitely wasn't fishing weather.

I thought I'd be on a boat doing (search) patterns, looking for fishing vessels.

Fishing is still pretty decent down there. The last couple days it's been like a third to a half a fish per boat average. On some days it's up to a fish per boat average.

It didn't affect me, though. I yanked him out of the water, got him back on the boat and went right on fishing.
